169 mm Bubble pattern Nakiri

169 mm Bubble pattern Nakiri

Blade length:  169 mm

Blade height: 55 mm (at the heel)

Blade thickness: 3,5 mm -> 1 mm (measured 3cm from the tip)

Overall length: 315 mm

Weight: 188g

Steel: 125sc carbon steel + stainless steel

Bolster: Paper Micarta

Handle: Stabilized Birch

The blade is forged out of 125sc carbon steel with welded stainless steel dots - "bubble pattern". It has convex geometry and tapers at the spine from 3,5 mm (near the handle), 2 mm (middle), 1,2 mm (at the tip).

* There is a barely visible, small flaw in the material on the bolster (handle) - black paper Micarta (visible in the last photo). It has been secured and does not affect the knife in any way. However, due to the fact of its existence, I decided to give a discount on the knife.

* The black coating is not indestructible, it will wipe off after some time (specially after contact with acidic products) and it will be replaced with patina. Stainless steel dots will always stay bright (there is always a contrast between them).

  • Knife care

Note! The blade is made of carbon steel (not stainless) - it may rust and there will appear colorful patina on the blade. Check the "knife care" section for information about the maintenance.
